Inventory Coordinator

Full Time Position Job Details

We are seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our on-site team to manage daily inventory, processing, and logistics operations. Responsibilities include processing inventory transactions, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and resolving inventory discrepancies. Hands-on training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and entry-level candidates seeking to develop a career in supply chain management.

This position may be classified as an Inventory Associate for candidates with less than one year of relevant experience or as an Inventory Coordinator for candidates with more substantial experience.

Who Thrives in This Role:
You like making sure the records match what is actually happening on the ground. In a given week, you might log a barge arrival, follow up with a processing center on results, document a damaged coil for a claim, and work through a vendor statement line by line until it reconciles. You don’t need to know steel or ERP systems on day one. You pick up new tools quickly, keep careful and organized records, and would rather ask a question than let something that looks off slide by. You communicate clearly with teammates in Supply Chain and Accounting, and you stay with an issue until it is resolved. This role is probably not for you if you prefer work that stays the same every day or would rather not dig into the details.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage core inventory workflows, including item setup, receipt processing, stock transfers, and processing-center transactions.
    • Monitor vessel and barge arrivals, record inventory receipts across multiple sites, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
    • Review damaged or nonconforming materials and document quality-control findings to support the claims process.
    • Review processing results, follow up with processing centers, and post related inventory transactions and invoices.
    • Perform monthly vendor reconciliations and provide comprehensive reports to the Supply Chain and Accounting departments.
    • Review third-party warehouse storage invoices and dispute inaccuracies or overcharges as needed.
    • Compile inventory and shipment reports to support annual inventory tax filings.
Growth Path:
This role is built as a foundation. As you master inventory operations, you will have the opportunity to take on more complex responsibilities, such as cost analysis, month-end close support, and greater ownership of reconciliations and vendor relationships. Your working knowledge of how material, cost, and documentation move through the business can also open doors to other supply chain functions, such as purchasing, sales support, logistics, or cost accounting.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Relevant coursework, internships, or up to two years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory, or related operations.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and AI or workflow-automation tools such as Claude and n8n.
    • Previous exposure to the steel or metals industry is a plus.

Work Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually

Benefits: At USP, we believe great work deserves great support. Our benefits are designed to promote your health, growth, and well-being:
