Accounting Manager

Full Time Position Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team. This role involves overseeing all general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and a proven track record in managing accounting operations.

 

Responsibility Areas: 

    • Oversee and actively engage in general accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
    • Monitor and analyze accounting data; produce accurate month-end and year-end consolidated financial reports.
    • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
    • Submit analytical financial performance reports to management.
    • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
    • Assess current accounting practices and procedures.
    • Improve systems and procedures; initiate corrective actions.
    • Perform ad hoc analyses and projects as requested.
    • Develop and mentor staff by setting goals, providing training, and fostering strong employee relationships.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
    • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
    • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong computer literacy is essential.
    • Proficiency in Google Sheets
    • Experience with QuickBooks and/or other financial systems is a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
    • Strong leadership skills and a proven dedication to driving and achieving results.
    • Knowledge of employee relationship-building and performance management techniques.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience with audit coordination and financial reporting.
    • Demonstrated ability to assess and improve accounting procedures.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

 

Work Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
